Thinking about joining us for worship? Well...we're not meeting in person right now, but we are meeting via Zoom. Here are some things you can expect...

Well, we've closed our doors for a while and we've gone virtual. But our worship services are still lively and meaningful--despite the distance. Go to the home page and check out all the various ways you can join us live, or view our services at a later time when it's more convenient.

When we say "You are welcome here," we mean it! Everyone. Gay, straight, richer, poorer, every skin color, every nationality and culture. That’s just how we roll.

We believe it's possible to be serious about our faith and informal in our approach. Since no one will see you while we're worshiping via Zoom, you get to come to church in PJs! Or put on a suit and tie--we don't care. Just be you.

We won't tell you who to vote for, but we are going to talk about real life and current events. That's where the rubber meets the road in our faith. And, just so you know, we do believe the cross leans to the left.

We celebrate the sacrament of communion (i.e., the Lord’s Supper, the Eucharist, the bread and the cup). You are invited to participate—if you want—whether you've been baptized or not. We believe the table belongs to Jesus, not us, and he's the one who invites you to "taste and see the goodness of God."

The cool thing about being virtual is that you get to use anything you have in your kitchen for communion--a blueberry muffin and a cup of coffee, a tortilla and soda, chocolate chip cookies and milk...whatever you have on hand will work.

Our worship is liturgical, meaning we celebrate the seasons of the church year from Advent to Lent to Easter to Pentecost, but...

Expect change. Embrace surprises...especially during this pandemic! You just never know what you may find on a Sunday.

Sundays, 11:00 a.m., the Youth Room is on the second floor.

With a focus on building faith and community, and service to others, our youth have many opportunities to grow in their spiritual journeys while still having a lot of fun! First Congo youth is open to 6th through 12th graders.

Sundays, 11:00 a.m. in the Parlor.

A traditional “Sunday school” may evoke memories of a set curriculum with little discussion or questioning of ideas, but not in our Adult Ed class! You can expect lively discussion where your questions are welcomed. Facilitated by a variety of people on a variety of topics—both secular and religious—this class is designed to make you think. Come with your questions, comments, or confusions; your ideas will be respected and so will you.
